Introduction

This Genshin Impact Wish Calculator helps you figure out if you have enough primogems and fates to get the character or weapon you want. Enter what you have, pick your target, and the tool does the math for you. It uses the real pity system, soft pity rates, 50/50 odds, Capturing Radiance, and Epitomized Path to give you an honest look at your chances.

You can plan for 5-star characters, 5-star weapons, and even 4-star targets across all Genshin Impact banner types. The calculator shows your success rate, how many pulls you will likely need, and a full breakdown of probabilities pull by pull. You can also add multiple targets at once to see if your savings cover more than one banner.

Whether you are saving for a specific constellation, a weapon refinement, or just want to know where you stand before a new banner drops, this tool gives you clear answers based on real game data.

How to Use Our Genshin Wish Calculator

Enter your current resources and wish targets below. The calculator will tell you the exact chance you have of getting the characters or weapons you want with the pulls you have.

Primogems: Type in how many Primogems you have right now. Every 160 Primogems equals 1 pull. Use the + and − buttons to adjust quickly.

Intertwined Fates: Enter the number of Intertwined Fates you own. Each fate counts as 1 pull.

Starglitter: Enter your Masterless Starglitter. Every 5 Starglitter can buy 1 Intertwined Fate from the shop.

Planning Mode: Turn on the dual-banner toggle if you plan to split your pulls between a character banner and a weapon banner at the same time. Leave it off if you only want one target or want each target checked on its own.

Target Name: Give your target a name so you can tell your wishes apart, like "Neuvillette C0" or "Staff of Homa R1."

Banner Type: Pick the banner that matches what you are wishing on. Options include 5-star character banners (pre-5.0 and post-5.0), 5-star weapon banners, 4-star targets, and the standard banner.

Pulls to Spend on This Target: Set this if you want to limit how many pulls go to this target. Leave it at 0 to use all remaining pulls from your shared pool.

Current Pity: Enter the number of wishes you have made since your last 5-star on this banner. If you have never wished on the banner, leave it at 0.

Current Constellation: Pick your character's current constellation level. Choose −1 if you do not own the character yet. For weapons, enter your current refinement rank instead (0 if not owned).

Target Constellation: Pick the constellation level you want to reach, from C0 to C6. For weapons, pick your target refinement rank from R1 to R5.

Guaranteed Featured (Character Banners): Check this box if you lost your last 50/50. This means your next 5-star pull is guaranteed to be the featured character.

Capturing Radiance Counter (5.0+ Character Banners): Enter how many 50/50 losses you have had in a row. This counter raises your chance of winning the next 50/50 through the Capturing Radiance system.

Epitomized Path Status (Weapon Banners): Select how many Fate Points you currently have. Fate Points build up each time you get a 5-star weapon that is not your chosen weapon, and at max points your next 5-star is guaranteed.

Last 5-Star Weapon Pulled (Weapon Banners): Choose whether your most recent 5-star weapon was a featured weapon or not. This affects whether the 75/25 featured guarantee is active on your next 5-star.

Pulls → Primogems Tab: Switch to this tab and enter a number of pulls. The calculator will show you how many Primogems, Intertwined Fates, Starglitter, or Welkin Moon days you need to reach that pull count.

Press the Calculate button when you are ready. The results will show your overall success chance, expected pulls needed, a full percentile table, probability charts, and a step-by-step breakdown of the math.

Genshin Impact Wish Calculator

In Genshin Impact, you get new characters and weapons by making wishes on banners. Each wish costs 160 Primogems or one Intertwined Fate. Getting the exact 5-star character or weapon you want is not guaranteed on every pull, so it helps to plan ahead.

How the Wish System Works

Every time you wish and don't get a 5-star, your pity counter goes up by one. The higher your pity, the closer you are to a guaranteed 5-star drop. On character banners, you hit soft pity at pull 74, where your chances start climbing fast. At pull 90 (hard pity), you are guaranteed a 5-star. Weapon banners work the same way but with soft pity at pull 63 and hard pity at pull 80.

When you do get a 5-star on a character banner, there is a 50/50 chance it is the featured character. If you lose that coin flip, your next 5-star on that banner is guaranteed to be the featured one. Since Version 5.0, a mechanic called Capturing Radiance increases your odds of winning the 50/50 after consecutive losses.

On weapon banners, the Epitomized Path system lets you choose which weapon you want. Each time you get a 5-star weapon that isn't your chosen one, you earn a Fate Point. Once you collect enough Fate Points, the next 5-star weapon you pull is guaranteed to be your pick.

What This Calculator Does

This tool takes your current Primogems, Intertwined Fates, Starglitter, and pity status, then calculates the probability of getting the characters or weapons you want. It uses the actual pity rates and banner mechanics from the game to run the math. You can set multiple targets, choose your banner type, and see a full breakdown of your odds at every pull count. The results include charts, percentile tables, and step-by-step explanations so you know exactly where you stand before spending your wishes. If you are interested in the underlying statistical concepts, our EV Calculator explains how expected value works, and the Binomial Distribution Calculator covers the type of probability math that powers gacha systems like this one. Frequently asked questions

What is pity in Genshin Impact?

Pity is a counter that tracks how many wishes you have made since your last 5-star pull. The counter goes up by one with each wish. Once you hit the maximum (90 on character banners, 80 on weapon banners), you are guaranteed a 5-star. This calculator uses your current pity to figure out how close you are to your next 5-star.

What is soft pity and when does it start?

Soft pity is when your chance of getting a 5-star starts going up a lot with each pull. On character banners, soft pity starts at pull 74. On weapon banners, it starts at pull 63. Most players get their 5-star during the soft pity window, well before hard pity.

How do I find my current pity count?

Open your Wish History in Genshin Impact. Count how many wishes you have made since your last 5-star result on that banner. If you have never pulled a 5-star on that banner, count all your wishes. Enter that number in the Current Pity field.

What does the 50/50 mean?

When you pull a 5-star on a character banner, there is a 50% chance it is the featured character and a 50% chance it is a standard 5-star character. If you lose the 50/50, your next 5-star on that banner is guaranteed to be the featured character.

What is Capturing Radiance?

Capturing Radiance is a system added in Version 5.0 that raises your odds of winning the 50/50 after losing it multiple times in a row. The calculator offers two models for this: the Counter model (odds increase after each consecutive loss) and the Flat 55% model (every 50/50 is 55% instead of 50%). Pick the one that matches how you think the system works.

What is the difference between the Counter model and the Flat 55% model?

The Counter model assumes your chance of winning the 50/50 goes up each time you lose in a row, reaching 100% after three straight losses. The Flat 55% model assumes every 50/50 is always a flat 55% chance to win. Both are community theories about how Capturing Radiance works. The Counter model gives slightly different results than the Flat 55% model, so the calculator lets you pick either one.

What is Epitomized Path on the weapon banner?

Epitomized Path lets you pick which featured weapon you want. Every time you get a 5-star weapon that is not your chosen one, you earn a Fate Point. On the post-5.0 weapon banner, you need 1 Fate Point to guarantee your weapon. On the pre-5.0 banner, you need 2. The calculator uses your current Fate Points to adjust your odds.

How many Primogems do I need for one pull?

One pull costs 160 Primogems. You can also use one Intertwined Fate, which costs 160 Primogems to buy. The calculator converts all your resources into total pulls automatically.

How many pulls does it take to guarantee a 5-star character?

The hard pity on character banners is 90 pulls. That means you will always get a 5-star within 90 wishes. But most players get one earlier because of soft pity, which starts at pull 74. On average, a 5-star character comes in about 62 pulls.

How many pulls do I need to guarantee a specific 5-star character?

In the worst case, you need 180 pulls. That happens if you hit hard pity at 90, lose the 50/50, then hit hard pity again at 90. With Capturing Radiance (5.0+), the worst case can be lower since your 50/50 odds improve after losses. Use this calculator with your actual pity and guarantee status to get a realistic number.

How many pulls do I need for C6?

C6 requires 7 copies of a character (C0 through C6). In the absolute worst case without Capturing Radiance, that could take up to 1,260 pulls (7 × 180). In practice, most players need far fewer. Enter your current constellation and target into the calculator to see your real odds.

What does the dual-banner mode do?

Dual-banner mode assumes you are splitting your pulls between two targets in order, like pulling on a character banner first and then a weapon banner with whatever is left. It combines the pull costs using a shared pool. Turn it off if you want each target checked against your full pull budget separately.

What does the success percentage mean?

The success percentage is the chance that you will get all your enabled targets using the pulls you have. For example, 75% means that 75 out of 100 players with your exact resources and pity would reach the target. It does not mean you are guaranteed to succeed.

What do the percentile numbers mean?

Percentiles tell you how many pulls are needed for a certain share of players to succeed. The 50th percentile (median) means half of all players would finish by that pull count. The 90th percentile means 90% of players would finish by then. If your pulls are above the 90th percentile, you are in good shape.

What is the Expected Pulls number?

Expected Pulls (also called the mean) is the average number of pulls it takes to reach your target across all possible outcomes. Some players will need fewer pulls and some will need more, but this is the middle point. It is useful for budgeting your Primogems.

What does Expected Pulls Left After Success mean?

This is how many pulls you will likely have left over after getting your target, assuming you succeed. If this number is high, you have a comfortable buffer. If it is close to zero, you are cutting it tight.

Does pity carry over between banners?

Pity carries over between banners of the same type. Your character banner pity stays when a new character banner starts. Your weapon banner pity stays when a new weapon banner starts. But character and weapon banners have separate pity counters. Standard banner pity is also separate.

Does the 50/50 guarantee carry over between banners?

Yes. If you lost the 50/50 on one character banner, your next 5-star on any character event banner is guaranteed to be the featured character. This guarantee does not expire. Check the guaranteed box in the calculator if this applies to you.

Does Epitomized Path carry over between weapon banners?

No. Epitomized Path and your Fate Points reset when the weapon banner changes. You must use your Fate Points before the banner ends. Set your Fate Points to 0 in the calculator if you are planning for a future weapon banner.

Can I plan for both a character and a weapon at the same time?

Yes. Click the Add Target button to add more targets. You can add a character and a weapon and the calculator will tell you the chance of getting both. Turn on dual-banner mode if you want the pulls shared in order, or leave it off to check each one against your full budget.

How does the calculator handle 4-star targets?

For 4-star targets, the calculator uses the 4-star pity system (guaranteed by pull 10) and accounts for the 50/50 featured group odds and the chance of pulling your specific character or weapon from the featured pool. 4-star targets are harder to guarantee a specific one because the pool is split among multiple options.

What is the Constellation Outcome Distribution table?

This table shows the chance of ending up at each constellation level given your total pulls. It tells you the probability of landing exactly at each level and the cumulative chance of reaching that level or higher. Use it to see if aiming for a higher constellation is realistic with your budget.

What does the cumulative probability chart show?

The cumulative chart shows your total chance of success at each pull count. The line goes up as you add more pulls. Where the line crosses 50% is your median, and where it crosses 90% is the pull count where most players would succeed. The red vertical line marks your available pulls.

What does the per-pull probability chart show?

This chart shows the chance of finishing your target on each specific pull. You will see spikes around the soft pity and hard pity zones. It helps you see exactly where most completions happen.

How does the Pulls to Primogems tab work?

Switch to the Pulls → Primogems tab and enter a number of pulls. The calculator tells you how many Primogems, Intertwined Fates, Starglitter, or Welkin Moon days that equals. It is a quick way to see the cost of any pull target.

How accurate is this calculator?

The calculator uses the actual pity rates and banner mechanics from Genshin Impact. It runs exact probability math, not rough estimates. However, individual results will always vary because wishes are random. A 90% chance still means 1 in 10 players will not get the target.

Should I set the Capturing Radiance counter or the guaranteed checkbox?

If you lost your last 50/50, check the guaranteed box. The Radiance counter tracks how many 50/50s you have lost in a row. If you lost once and your next 5-star is guaranteed, set guaranteed to checked and radiance to 1. If you won your last 50/50, leave both at their defaults.

What should I enter for current pity if I have never wished on this banner?

Enter 0. Pity starts at zero when you have not made any wishes on a banner type. If you wished on a previous character banner and did not get a 5-star, that pity still counts since it carries over.

What does the Starglitter field do?

Masterless Starglitter can be used to buy Intertwined Fates from Paimon's Bargains shop. Every 5 Starglitter buys 1 fate. The calculator adds these extra pulls to your total automatically.

Can I save or share my calculator results?

The calculator does not save results automatically. You can take a screenshot or bookmark the page and re-enter your numbers later. Your inputs are not stored on any server.
