Introduction

The Uma Musume Affinity Calculator works out the affinity of a Legacy lineage in Umamusume: Pretty Derby. Your trainee inherits from two Legacies, and each Legacy brings its own two parents. When you pick a Legacy, the game shows its affinity with your trainee as ◎, ○ or △, from highest to lowest.4

Pick your trainee, her two Legacies and, if you like, each Legacy's parents. The calculator adds up the affinity points for the relations those characters share, shows the total and its rank, and lists the points from every link. It also lists the ten characters who share the most relation points with your trainee, so you know which Legacies to look for.

How to use our Uma Musume Affinity Calculator

Main Character (trainee): Choose the character you are about to train.

Legacy 1 and Legacy 2: Choose your two Legacies. Each one must be a different character from the trainee and from the other Legacy.

Legacies' parents: Choose the two parents of each Legacy, or leave them empty.

Calculate: Shows the total, the rank, the points from each link and the best Legacy picks for your trainee. The results also update as soon as you change a slot.

Reset: Puts the example lineage back.

How Affinity Is Worked Out

The game's data puts characters into relation groups and gives every group a number of points.1 Each group lists the characters that belong to it.2 Classmates, roommates and family members naturally have a higher affinity with each other.4

A link between two characters is worth the points of every group both of them belong to. A link of three, the trainee, a Legacy and one of that Legacy's parents, is worth the points of every group all three belong to. The total adds up these links:

  • the trainee and each Legacy
  • the trainee, each Legacy and each of that Legacy's parents
  • Legacy 1 and Legacy 2

The total is then ranked: 0 to 50 points is △, 51 to 150 points is ○, and 151 points or more is ◎.3 Race wins that a Legacy shares with its own parents are not counted.

Why Affinity Matters

It might be easier to receive inspiration from Legacies who have strong affinity with your trainee.4 Picking Legacies who share many relation groups with your trainee, and with each other, is the way to raise the total.
