Introduction

In Pls Donate, people give you Robux by buying your gamepass. But you don't keep all of it. Roblox takes a 30% cut on every sale. So if someone donates 500 Robux, you only get 350.

This Pls Donate calculator handles the calculation. It works two ways:

  • Forward: Type in a donation amount and see how much Robux you actually receive after tax.
  • Reverse: Type in how much Robux you want to keep, and it tells you the exact gamepass price to set.

You can also change the tax rate if you need to. The tool shows a step-by-step breakdown, a chart of where the Robux goes, and a quick table for common donation amounts. It even warns you when a donation is too small to pay out anything at all. If you sell other items or shirts on the platform, our general Roblox tax calculator covers those sales too.

How to use our Pls Donate Calculator

Pick a mode, choose your Roblox tax rate, and type a Robux amount. The calculator shows the tax taken, the Robux you receive, and the gamepass price you should set, plus a step-by-step solution and a chart.

Mode tabs: Press Forward to find out how much Robux you get from a donation. Press Reverse to find the gamepass price a donor must pay so you keep the amount you want.

Tax Rate: Leave this on Standard Roblox Tax (30%) for normal Pls Donate gamepass sales. Pick Custom Tax Rate if you want to test a different fee.

Custom Tax Rate (%): This box only shows when you choose Custom. Type any rate from 0 to 99, like 25 for a 25% cut.

Donation Amount / Desired Take-Home (R$): In Forward mode, type the Robux the donor pays, like 500. In Reverse mode, type the Robux you want to keep, like 300. Use whole numbers only.

Calculate and Reset: Results update as you type, but you can press Calculate to run it again. Press Reset to go back to 30% tax and R$ 500.

What Is the Pls Donate Robux Tax?

Pls Donate is a popular Roblox game where players set up their own booth and ask for Robux. But you cannot hand Robux to another player directly in Roblox. Instead, you make a gamepass and put a price on it. When someone buys your gamepass, that is the donation. Roblox treats it like any other sale, so it takes a 30% marketplace fee before the Robux reaches you. That fee is what players call the "Pls Donate tax."

How Much Robux Do You Actually Keep?

You keep 70% of every donation. Roblox keeps the other 30%. So if a friend buys your R$ 100 gamepass, you get R$ 70 and Roblox takes R$ 30. On a R$ 1,000 donation, you get R$ 700. The bigger the donation, the more you lose to the fee, but the split stays the same.

Robux Payouts Always Round Down

Robux only come in whole numbers. Roblox never gives you a part of a Robux, so it always rounds your payout down. A R$ 5 donation should pay R$ 3.50, but you get R$ 3 instead. This is why very small donations can pay you nothing at all. A R$ 1 gamepass pays out R$ 0.70, which rounds down to zero. The smallest gamepass price that pays you at least 1 Robux is R$ 2.

Setting the Right Gamepass Price

If you want a set amount of Robux in your pocket, you have to price your gamepass higher than your goal. Divide your goal by 0.7 and round up. To take home R$ 300, list your gamepass at R$ 429. To take home R$ 1,000, list it at R$ 1,429. Many Pls Donate players use round prices like 100, 500, or 1,000 because they look nice at a booth, so just remember your real take-home will be 70% of that.

Other Things to Know

  • Pending Robux: Gamepass sales sit as "pending" for a few days before they show up in your real balance. This is normal.
  • Groups: If your gamepass belongs to a group, the Robux land in the group funds first. You then pay yourself out, and you need Roblox Premium to do that.
  • Cashing out: To turn Robux into real money through DevEx, you need Premium and a minimum Robux balance. The 30% fee is taken long before that step, so run your final balance through the Roblox DevEx calculator to see the cash value.
  • No way around it: There is no trick, code, or setting that removes the 30% fee. Any site or player promising a "no tax" donation is a scam.

Formulas used

Net multiplier from tax rate
m = \frac{100\% - r\%}{100\%}
Robux received (forward)
R = \left\lfloor D \times m \right\rfloor
Tax deducted
T = D - R
Effective keep rate
K = \frac{R}{D} \times 100\%
Required gamepass listing price (reverse)
P = \left\lceil \frac{G}{m} \right\rceil
Minimum effective donation
D_{min} = \min \left\{ D \in \mathbb{Z}^{+} : \left\lfloor D \times m \right\rfloor \ge 1 \right\}

Frequently asked questions

Do I lose Robux when I donate to someone else?

No. As the donor, you pay exactly the price on the gamepass. The 30% fee comes out of the receiver's side.

If you buy a R$ 100 gamepass, 100 Robux leaves your account and the booth owner gets R$ 70. Roblox keeps the other R$ 30.

Why does Reverse mode round the price up?

Rounding down would leave you short of your goal.

To keep R$ 300 you need R$ 428.57. A R$ 428 price only pays R$ 299. So the tool rounds up to R$ 429, which pays the full R$ 300.

When should I use the Custom Tax Rate option?

Real Pls Donate gamepass sales are always taxed at 30%. Use Custom only for testing.

It is handy if you want to see what a 0%, 10%, or 50% cut would look like, or if you are doing math for a different platform or a school project.

Does Roblox Premium lower the 30% fee?

No. Premium does not change the marketplace fee at all. You still keep 70% of every donation.

Premium only matters for paying yourself out of a group and for cashing out through DevEx.

If my gamepass is in a group, am I taxed twice?

No. The 30% is taken once, when the gamepass sells. The rest goes into the group funds.

Paying yourself from the group to your own account is free. You just need Roblox Premium to do it.

Does the same 30% apply to shirts and t-shirts at my booth?

Yes. Roblox takes a 30% marketplace fee on clothing sales too, so the math in this calculator still works.

Most Pls Donate booths use gamepasses because they are the easiest way to take a donation.

How do I work out how many donations I need for a goal?

Use Forward mode first. Type the price of your gamepass to see what one donation pays you.

Then divide your goal by that number. Example: if each R$ 100 donation pays you R$ 70, you need 15 donations to reach R$ 1,000 (14.3 rounded up).

Do I need to log in or give my Roblox username?

No. This is just a math tool. It never asks for your username, password, or account details.

Never give your login to any site that promises free or tax-free Robux. Those are scams.

Does the table and chart change when I pick a different tax rate?

Yes. The quick reference table, the pie chart, and the step-by-step steps all update the moment you change the rate or the amount.

Rows that pay out nothing are highlighted in yellow with a warning icon.
