Introduction

The Grow A Garden Calculator shows you how many Sheckles your crops are worth before you sell them. Pick your crop, type in its weight, add any mutations it has, and set your friend boost. The calculator does the math and gives you the final value right away.

In Grow A Garden, fruit value grows fast with weight. A fruit that weighs twice as much is worth about four times more. Mutations like Gold, Rainbow, Frozen, and Shocked stack on top of that and can turn a small crop into a huge payday. Guessing these numbers in your head is hard, so this tool does it for you.

You can also work backward. Switch to Reverse mode to find out how heavy a fruit must be to hit a Sheckle goal you set. Want to know which crop pays more? Use the comparison tool to put two fruits side by side. You can even save results to a harvest list to see your total earnings. If you also raise pets to boost your farm, pair this with our Grow A Garden Pet Calculator.

Every result comes with a step-by-step breakdown, so you can see exactly where each number comes from. Use it to plan your farm, pick better seeds, and sell at the best time.

How to use our Grow A Garden Calculator

Pick your crop, type in its weight, add any mutations, and set your friend boost. The calculator shows your base value, your mutation value, and the final Sheckle payout for your Grow A Garden harvest.

Calculation Mode: Choose "Standard" to turn a weight into Sheckles. Choose "Reverse" to find the weight you need to hit a Sheckle goal.

Filter by Source / Event: Pick where the crop comes from, like Seed Shop, Summer Event, or Halloween Event. This makes the crop list shorter.

Search Crops: Type part of a crop name, like "mango," to jump straight to it.

Crop List: Click one crop. The badge shows its rarity and base Sheckle value. Items marked "Fixed Value" always pay the same, no matter the weight.

Fruit Weight: Type the weight shown on your fruit in Roblox. Weight is squared, so double weight gives four times the value. If you need to convert a number, our Kg to Lbs Calculator handles it in one step.

Weight Unit: Pick kg, g, lb, or oz. The game uses kg.

Target Sheckle Value: Only shows in Reverse mode. Type the payout you want, and the tool tells you the weight each fruit needs.

Fruit Pieces per Plant: Type how many fruits one plant gives you.

Number of Plants: Type how many plants you are harvesting, from 1 to 200.

Friend Boost: Drag the slider to how many friends are in your garden. Each friend adds 5% to the final value. See how that stacks up with our Percentage Increase Calculator.

Search Mutations: Type a mutation name, like "frozen" or "rainbow," to find it fast.

Sort Mutations: Press "Value" to see the strongest mutations first, or "A–Z" to sort by name.

Hide Admin / Event Mutations: Turn this on to hide rare mutations you cannot get in normal play.

Max Mutations / Clear Mutations: "Max Mutations" fills all five slots with the best ones. "Clear Mutations" empties them.

Growth Mutations: Tick Gold, Rainbow, or others your fruit has. These multiply your value.

Temperature & Environment Mutations: Tick things like Wet, Shocked, or Cosmic. These stack and add together. You can use five mutations in total.

Calculate and Reset: Press "Calculate" to see your results, steps, and chart. Press "Reset" to start over.

Add to Harvest List: Save the result to the table so you can add up many crops at once. Press "Clear Harvest List" to wipe it.

Fruit Comparison Tool: Set a crop, weight, up to five mutation slots, and friends for Crop A and Crop B. Press "Compare" to see which fruit sells for more.

Grow A Garden Crop Value Explained

Grow A Garden is a Roblox farming game where you plant seeds, wait for them to grow, and sell the fruit for Sheckles. Not every fruit sells for the same price. Two Dragon Fruits from the same plot can be worth wildly different amounts. Three things decide the price: the crop type, the fruit's weight, and the mutations on it.

Crop Base Value

Every crop has a base value and a base weight. A Carrot starts at 18 Sheckles. A Mushroom starts at over 136,000. Rarer seeds cost more and pay more. Crops are split into groups like Seed Shop, Exotic Seed Packs, and limited event shops such as Summer, Halloween, Easter, and Safari.

Weight Scaling

Weight matters a lot because it scales squared, not straight up. Double the weight and you get four times the Sheckles. Triple it and you get nine times. This is why players hunt for oversized fruit and use pets that boost fruit size. A few items, like the Master Sprinkler and Friendship Pot, have a fixed price and ignore weight completely. If you want to see the squaring on its own, try the Exponent Calculator.

Mutations

Mutations are the biggest money maker. They come in two kinds and they stack differently:

  • Growth mutations (Gold ×20, Rainbow ×50, Ripe ×2) multiply the value. A Rainbow fruit is worth 50 times a plain one.
  • Environment mutations (Wet, Shocked, Frozen, Cosmic, and more) add together instead. The game adds each bonus minus one, then adds 1. So Wet (×2) plus Shocked (×100) gives ×101, not ×200.

A fruit can hold up to 5 mutations at once. Some come from weather like rain, thunderstorms, blizzards, and meteor showers. Others come from sprinklers, pet abilities, or the Cooking Pot. A few, like Dawnbound and Voidtouched, only show up during admin events. Chasing a rare roll like Rainbow? The Drop Chance Calculator shows how many tries you likely need.

Friend Boost

Each friend standing in your garden when you sell adds +5% to the payout. Five friends means a ×1.25 boost. It is a small bump on cheap crops but huge on a Rainbow Sundried Ember Lily.

How the Math Works

The full formula is simple once you know the parts:

Final Value = Base Value × (Weight ÷ Base Weight)² × Mutation Multiplier × Friend Boost

Multiply by the number of fruit pieces and plants for a whole harvest total.

Tips for Bigger Payouts

  • Save your rarest seeds for when good weather is active so they soak up mutations.
  • Stack one growth mutation (Gold or Rainbow) with high-value environment mutations for the best return.
  • Heavy fruit beats light fruit every time, so feed and grow before you harvest.
  • Bring friends to your garden before you sell a big haul.
  • Leave room between seeds so every plant grows to full size — our Plant Spacing Calculator helps with real gardens too.

Crop values and mutation rates change when Roblox updates the game, so check your in-game sell price if a number looks off.

Formulas used

Base Value (weight-scaled crops)
V_{base} = v_{crop} \times \left(\frac{w}{w_{base}}\right)^{2} \times p \times N
Base Value (fixed-value items)
V_{base} = v_{crop} \times p \times N
Combined Mutation Multiplier
M = \left(\prod_{i} g_i\right) \times \left(1 + \sum_{j} e_j - n_{env}\right)
Mutation-Adjusted Value

Frequently asked questions

Why does my in-game sell price not match the calculator?

Roblox updates Grow A Garden often. Base values, mutation numbers, and event crops can change with each patch. If your number looks off, trust the price you see in game and treat the calculator as a close estimate.

How many mutations can one fruit have?

Five. The tool locks the list once you tick five. Untick one to free a slot. Picking the five biggest multipliers gives the highest payout.

Can a fruit be both Gold and Rainbow?

No. Rainbow replaces Gold on the same fruit. If you tick both here, the math still runs, but in game only one growth mutation of that pair will show.

Why do my environment mutations add up instead of multiply?

That is how the game works. Environment mutations use this rule: 1 + (sum of all bonuses) − (how many you have). So Wet (×2) and Shocked (×100) give ×101, not ×200. Growth mutations like Gold and Rainbow do multiply.

What is base weight and why does it matter?

Base weight is the normal size for that crop. The tool divides your fruit weight by the base weight, then squares it. A Dragon Fruit has a base weight of 11.4 kg, so an 11.4 kg one pays its plain base value.

What happens if my fruit weighs less than base weight?

You get less than the base value. A fruit at half the base weight pays about a quarter of the value. Small fruit is worth much less, so let plants finish growing.

Which mutation is worth the most?

Cosmic (×240) is the top environment mutation, and Rainbow (×50) is the top growth one. Press Max Mutations to auto-fill the five strongest picks the tool can find.

What does the Hide Admin / Event toggle do?

It hides mutations you cannot get in normal play, like Dawnbound, Voidtouched, and Alienlike. Turn it on for a realistic plan. Turn it off to dream big.

Why can I not type a weight for some items?

Items marked Fixed Value, like the Master Sprinkler and Friendship Pot, always pay the same price. Weight does nothing to them, so the field turns off. Change the quantity instead.

How do I use Reverse mode?

Switch to Reverse, type the Sheckle total you want, then set your mutations, friends, pieces, and plants. The tool tells you how heavy each fruit must be to reach that goal.

Does the friend boost work if friends are offline?

No. Friends must be in your garden when you sell. Each one adds 5%, so 5 friends give ×1.25 and 10 give ×1.50.

What is the difference between Fruit Pieces and Number of Plants?

Pieces is how many fruits one plant drops. Plants is how many plants you harvest. The tool multiplies both, so 4 pieces on 10 plants equals 40 fruits.

Why is the chart on a log scale?

Mutations make numbers jump from thousands to trillions. A normal chart would flatten the small bars. Log scale keeps every step readable.

Can I add up a whole harvest of different crops?

Yes. Calculate one crop, press Add to Harvest List, then change the crop and add it again. The table shows a running total at the bottom.

Does the harvest list save after I close the page?

No. The list clears when you reload or leave. Write down or screenshot your total before you go.

Does the calculator include pet bonuses?

Not directly. Pets mostly help by growing bigger fruit or by adding mutations like Verdant or Zombified. Enter the final weight and tick the mutation the pet gave you.

What unit does Grow A Garden use for weight?

Kilograms (kg). The tool also takes g, lb, and oz and converts them for you, which helps if you are reading a guide that uses pounds.

Why does the calculator cap plants at 200?

That covers a full farm plot and keeps the math from producing silly numbers. If you need more, run it twice and add the totals.

Which crop makes the most money?

It depends on weight and mutations, not just the crop. Mushroom, Bendboo, and Honeysuckle have huge base values, but a heavy Rainbow Ember Lily with top environment mutations often beats them. Use the Fruit Comparison Tool to test both.

How do I get high-value mutations?

Most come from weather and gear. Rain gives Wet, thunderstorms give Shocked, blizzards give Subzero, and meteor showers give Meteoric. Sprinklers, pet abilities, and the Cooking Pot add more. Leave rare crops planted during big weather events.

Do mutations stack on the same fruit or across a plant?

Each fruit holds its own mutations. Two fruits on one plant can have totally different ones, so check each fruit before you sell.

Is this calculator official?

No. It is a fan tool built from community data. Always check your real sell price in game before you make a big trade.
