        Introduction

The Pokemon Infinite Fusion Calculator lets you combine any two Pokémon into one. Pick a Head Pokémon and a Body Pokémon, then hit Fuse to see what you get. The tool calculates your fusion's base stats, types, abilities, and move pool using the same formulas as the Pokémon Infinite Fusion fan game.

The Head Pokémon controls Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, and Speed. The Body Pokémon controls HP, Attack, and Defense. Each fused stat uses a 2/3 dominant + 1/3 recessive split, so the Pokémon in the dominant role has a bigger impact on that stat. You can swap the Head and Body at any time to see how the fusion changes.

You can also compare both fusion orientations side by side, view a full stat bar chart, and read a step-by-step breakdown that shows exactly how every number is calculated. Whether you are planning a team or just want to experiment, this calculator gives you fast and accurate fusion results for all Gen 1 Pokémon. For a deeper look at individual stat spreads before fusing, try our Pokemon Stat Calculator.

How to Use Our Pokémon Infinite Fusion Calculator

Pick two Pokémon below to fuse them together. The calculator will show you the fusion's name, types, base stats, abilities, and full move pool in seconds.

Head Pokémon: Type a Pokémon name or Pokédex number into the Head field. The Head controls the fusion's Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, and Speed stats. It also sets the primary type.

Body Pokémon: Type a Pokémon name or Pokédex number into the Body field. The Body controls the fusion's HP, Attack, and Defense stats. It also sets the secondary type.

Fuse Button: Click "Fuse!" after you pick both Pokémon. This runs the fusion formula and shows your full results.

Swap Button: Click "Swap" to switch your Head and Body Pokémon with each other. This lets you quickly see how the fusion changes when the roles are reversed.

Random Button: Click "Random" to pick two Pokémon at random and fuse them right away. This is a fun way to discover new combinations.

Reset Button: Click "Reset" to clear your choices and return the calculator to its default state.

Compare Both Orientations: Turn on this toggle to see both fusion directions side by side. This helps you find which orientation gives better stats.

        What Is Pokémon Infinite Fusion?

Pokémon Infinite Fusion is a fan-made game built on top of Pokémon FireRed. It lets you combine any two Pokémon into one brand-new creature. The fused Pokémon gets a mixed sprite, combined stats, shared abilities, and a new name made from both parents. With 151 original Pokémon in the base set, there are over 22,000 possible fusions to try — a number you can verify with a Combination Calculator.

        How Fusion Stats Work

Every fusion has a Head Pokémon and a Body Pokémon. Each one controls different stats. The Body controls HP, Attack, and Defense. The Head controls Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed. The dominant Pokémon gives two-thirds of the stat, and the other gives one-third. This means swapping the Head and Body creates a different fusion with different strengths. If you want to check how individual values affect a Pokémon's final numbers outside of fusion, our Pokemon IV Calculator can help.

        How Fusion Types Work

The fused Pokémon takes its first type from the Head Pokémon's primary type. It takes its second type from the Body Pokémon's secondary type. If the Body has no secondary type, it uses the Body's primary type instead. If both types end up the same, the fusion becomes a single-type Pokémon. Understanding how types interact is key to building a strong fusion — our Pokemon Type Calculator shows you every weakness, resistance, and immunity for any type combination.

        How Fusion Names Work

The fusion's name is a mix of both Pokémon names. It takes the first half of the Head Pokémon's name and the last half of the Body Pokémon's name, then joins them together. For example, fusing Charizard (Head) with Blastoise (Body) gives you "Chartoise."

        Abilities and Moves

A fused Pokémon can use abilities from both the Head and Body Pokémon. It also learns moves from both parents based on their types. This means fusions often have a bigger move pool and more ability options than either parent alone, which opens up many new battle strategies. To see how much damage your fusion's moves can actually deal, run the numbers through our Pokemon Damage Calculator. You can also use the Pokemon Catch Rate Calculator to figure out your odds of catching the base Pokémon you need before fusing, and check our Shiny Odds Calculator if you are hunting for rare variants along the way.

        Frequently asked questions

What Pokémon are available in this fusion calculator?

This calculator includes all 151 Gen 1 Pokémon, from Bulbasaur (#001) to Mew (#151). You can fuse any two of them together in either order.

What is the fusion stat formula?

Each fused stat equals ⌊2 × dominant ÷ 3 + recessive ÷ 3⌋. The Body is dominant for HP, Attack, and Defense. The Head is dominant for Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, and Speed. The floor function rounds the result down to a whole number.

Does swapping Head and Body change the fusion?

Yes. Swapping changes which Pokémon controls which stats, so the fusion gets different base stats, a different name, and possibly different types. Use the Swap button or turn on Compare Both Orientations to see both versions side by side.

Why is my fusion sprite missing?

Not every fusion has a custom sprite. The calculator tries to load a community-made sprite first, then an auto-generated one. If neither exists, you will see a "Sprite not available" placeholder. The stats and data are still fully accurate.

How is the fusion name created?

The calculator takes the first half of the Head Pokémon's name and the second half of the Body Pokémon's name, then joins them. The split happens at the midpoint of each name.

Can a fusion be a single type?

Yes. If the Head's primary type and the Body's secondary (or primary) type are the same, the duplicate is removed and the fusion becomes a mono-type Pokémon.

Which Pokémon decides the primary type?

The Head Pokémon's primary type always becomes the fusion's first type. The Body Pokémon provides the second type.

Which Pokémon decides the secondary type?

The fusion's second type comes from the Body Pokémon's secondary type. If the Body has no secondary type, its primary type is used instead.

        How are fusion abilities chosen?

The fusion can use any ability from either parent. If both the Head and Body share the same ability, it appears once and is labeled "Both."

How is the fusion move pool built?

The calculator combines moves from both Pokémon based on their types, plus a set of universal moves like Tackle and Body Slam. Each move is tagged to show if it comes from the Head, Body, or Both.

What does the Compare Both Orientations toggle do?

It shows both fusion directions at the same time. You see the A+B fusion and the B+A fusion next to each other so you can quickly pick the stronger version.

What does the A+B and B+A toggle above the fusion sprite do?

It switches the fusion orientation. A+B means your first pick is the Head and your second is the Body. B+A reverses those roles. The stats, types, name, and sprite all update when you switch.

What is Base Stat Total (BST)?

BST is the sum of all six base stats: HP, Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, and Speed. A higher BST usually means a stronger Pokémon overall.

Can I search by Pokédex number?

Yes. Type a number into the Head or Body search box and the dropdown will show matching Pokémon. For example, typing 6 will show Charizard (#006) and other Pokémon whose numbers start with 6.

Are the fusion results the same as in the Pokémon Infinite Fusion game?

This calculator uses the same 2/3 + 1/3 stat formula and the same type-inheritance rules as the fan game. Abilities and moves are simplified representations. For exact in-game move sets, check the game's Pokédex.

What do the colored bars in the stat table mean?

Each bar shows how high the fused stat is on a scale up to 255. Orange means below 50, yellow is 50–99, green is 100–149, and purple is 150 or higher.

What do the up and down arrows next to each fused stat mean?

They show how the fused stat compares to the simple average of both parents. A green up arrow means the fusion stat is above average. A red down arrow means it is below average.

        Can I use keyboard shortcuts?

Yes. Use Arrow keys to browse the dropdown list, Enter to select a Pokémon and fuse, Esc to close the dropdown, and F8 to jump to the notification area.

How many total fusions are possible with 151 Pokémon?

Since order matters (Head vs. Body), there are 151 × 150 = 22,650 possible fusions. Each pair of Pokémon can produce two different fusions depending on which one is the Head.

Does this calculator work on mobile?

Yes. The layout adjusts to smaller screens. You can search, fuse, swap, and view all results on a phone or tablet.
